Down's Syndrome Awareness Week 31st May to 6th June 2004

The first week of June is Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week. This is the week when the Down's Syndrome Association, its affiliated groups and supporters combine forces to raise awareness about Down’s syndrome and the work of the Association and to raise funds towards the Association's work.

We will be taking the opportunity to show case all the wonderful examples of people with Down's syndrome living their lives to the full and celebrating their achievements.

We need you to help us raise awareness of Down's syndrome and the potential of people with Down's syndrome by holding information displays in your local community. We need to highlight issues surrounding Down’s syndrome and the information and support services that the Association provides.

We also need supporters to help raise money to keep our vital support services going. You can do this by organising a tea party or other fundraising event of your choice, helping to distribute our popular lapel pins or organising a fundraising quiz night!
