So far, around 2,000 printed copies have been distributed with many more users choosing to download the material free from the Down’s Syndrome Association website. Feedback has been universally positive, with all respondents rating it either 'excellent' or 'very good'.
The Education Support Pack for mainstream schools was the creation of a consortium of education professionals who are now working - with DfES funding - on a version of the Pack designed for Special Schools. The original Education Support Pack includes information on a range of topics such as; ensuring successful inclusion; methods for improving literacy, numeracy and communication and also a wide range of curriculum-based differentiated teaching materials.
