I’ve finally come to a decision about the UK Challenge for 2006 and it’s slightly different than originally planned. We’re going to go for the Offa’s Dyke and Black Mountain Challenge, which is brand new to Discover Adventure for 2006.
Offa’s Dyke is the only one of twelve National Trails to follow a man-made feature along the boundary between England and Wales.
Our route crosses through the heart of the Black Mountains before dropping down through the wooded forests of Mynydd Du to the lush Vale of Ewyas.
A steep ascent takes us up onto the Dyke path, overlooking the Olchon Valley to the east as we head north towards Hay on Wye. Our finishing point is Hay Bluff, overlooking the ancient town renowned for its second-hand book shops and cafes; a wonderful finale to an awesome and challenging weekend.

Alternatively complete the joining form and send it back to me along with a cheque for £50 to cover the joining fee and I’ll add you to our 2006 team.
