This course is geared towards professionals working in schools. It is part of the training for the National Occupational Standards for Teaching Assistants, and provides portfolio evidence towards NVQ 2 and 3, in particular for module 3.14: Supporting pupils with cognition and learning difficulties during learning activities.
The course will include inclusive education and the role of the Teaching Assistant, the learning profile of children with Down's syndrome, teaching numeracy and literacy, issues around differentiation, development of speech and language skills, and social inclusion and age-appropriate behaviour.
The course will be for 3 separate days over a 6-8 week period at a cost of £300 per delegate. Cost includes all learning and accreditation materials.
The Conference will be held in Birmingham on 7th November, 24th November and 8th December.
