The Family Weekend promises to be an excellent opportunity for mutual learning and sharing. At the DSA, we are excited to be putting on this new event and we are really looking forward to meeting you and the other families who will make this weekend a success. Please read this information below. Full details from Lesley Alabaf on or email . Please do not hesitate to contact Rachel Davies, Conference Manager, on or alternatively you can email Rachel at .

Cost
This conference is aimed at the natural parents or adoptive parents of children with Down’s syndrome under the age of 2. We hope that you will want to attend as a family group bringing your other children with you. Childcare will be provided during the day because the conference sessions are not suitable for children. Close family members (e.g. grandparents) are also welcome as part of the family group and can choose whether to attend the conference sessions as a delegate or whether their role is to spend time with the children in your family. The conference is not suitable for paid carers such as childminders or foster carers. However, we do offer other conferences and training events geared towards paid carers and we would be happy to send you further information on these.
A place for an adult will cost £115. A place for a child will cost £85. It therefore follows that a family of 2 adults and 2 children will pay £400 while a family of 3 adults and 3 children will pay £600. The cost includes your place at the weekend conference, daytime refreshments for the adults, family accommodation and childcare between 9.30am and 4.15pm on the Saturday and Sunday, and on Saturday evening between 7pm-10.30pm.
The cost does not include breakfast or evening meals or any food for children. You can bring food with you or use the on-site shop to purchase items to prepare in your self-catering cottage.
